What Would I Do if the Zombie Apocalypse Happened at this Moment?

by Jessica Gomez

Are you ever in a store, restaurant, or even at work when you think, what would I do if the zombie apocalypse happened at this moment?

I have.

More than I probably should. I have escape routes and plans all over the place. The major question you have to ask yourself is, no matter where you are will you be ready?

Realistically, the likelihood of a Zombie apocalypse is slim, but not impossible. The scenarios I run through my head are mostly scenes in my books. Ones where I try to place myself in the moment of Infection. I’d like to think I would make it, but in reality you’d have to run. Running for me is just not in the cards. Oh, I could make it a few blocks, but eventually they’d catch up with me.

The thought has crossed my mind quite a few times as I walk through our local casino. Can you imagine being in a place like that, with hundreds of people? The likelihood of survival slim. Watching the Price is Right is another place I’ve thought about being stuck in the middle of. I love watching Drew on TV, but imagine if one the contestants took a chunk out of the side of his neck. Pretty awesome, but once you realize what going down, getting out of there will be damn near impossible.

What is the weirdest place you can think that a Zombie apocalypse can take place? Be creative.
