*Jay stepped off the pirate ship and thanked the crew for the lift to South Africa. As they sailed away, he started to wonder how he would get back once the interview was over. He left the beach for the roads and started walking. A jeep pulled toward him from the distance and he stepped to the side of the road. The jeep stopped beside him.*
Baileigh Higgins: We don’t have a lot of time. I’m busy with zombies and new releases.
Jay Wilburn: Okay, tell me about your latest release.
Higgins: For fans of The Walking Dead, Dawn of the Dead, and all things zombie comes your next obsession, a thrilling series that will leave you wanting more! Seize Another Day is the last installment in the Dangerous Days Series and delivers a sizzling mixture of hatred and revenge, love and loss, and finally, redemption.
Wilburn: That’s a good pitch. How does where you live impact yourstorytelling?
Higgins: Seize Another Day plays off in South Africa and portrays the zombie apocalypse through the lens of the country’s unique culture and landscape. The characters are diverse and interesting with each bringing their own flavor to the story. Though there is plenty of gore and action, it also delivers a strong emotional punch.
Wilburn: What went into the creation of your story and characters?
Higgins: When I created this story, I tried to portray ordinary men and woman who when cast into desperate situations, find it within themselves to not only survive, but also thrive. People like you and me who given the chance, can find the hero hidden within.
Wilburn: Sounds Great. Everyone, check out Seize Another Day or begin the series from book 1 now. She has two other great series you need to check out too.
Higgins: Who are you talking too?
Wilburn: Well, you see, I pretend there is an audience of zombie fans reading this interview as a blog post for a Summer of Zombie tour.
*Baileigh stared for a moment and then drove away. Jay returned to the beach and followed along the coast looking for a ship that could take him back across the ocean.*
