Spotlight On Alathia Paris Morgan #SummerZombie

by Jay Wilburn

*Jay stayed balanced on the beam and tried not to look down as he moved from building to building over the narrow bridges. He reached the rooftop gardens of the colony and found Alathia standing watch.*

Jay Wilburn: Is this a good time?

Alathia Paris Morgan: Zombies are everywhere. I’ve seen better times.

Wilburn: I mean for an interview.

Morgan: Sure, go ahead.

Wilburn: Is there like stairs or an elevator I can take when I leave?

Morgan: Is that your first question?

Wilburn: No … Tell me the name of your latest work.

Morgan: MAZ: Military Against Zombies

Wilburn: Tell me about it.

Morgan: It’s book two in the series. Brad simply wants to make it home, but the ZITs have different ideas. The military has a mission: search and rescue all those who have survived the virus – only there are more dead people than those who are still alive.

Wilburn: Did you come up with some crazy new style of zombie for this series?

Morgan: The zombies are not what makes this book different, it’s the story of real people put in horrible situations and the choices they make to survive.

Wilburn: Where does Military Against Zombies take the story you started in Moms Against Zombies?

Morgan: This second book is from the military perspective and continues the story from a different area, but during the same time frame as the first book. Each book will have some of the same characters, but everyone will not be in the same book because we are following two family groups and how they are established at the beginning of the zombie apocalypse.

Wilburn: What are your thoughts on other zombie stories as you prepare to write in your own universe?

Morgan: Most of the zombie stories I’ve read and seen generally focus mainly on the zombies. They are interesting, but I’ve chosen to change the way this world works just a little bit. Survival. Not just survival of the fittest, but the most desperate who are willing to do anything, parents and the preppers, who are already prepared to face their worst nightmare are now facing zombies.

Wilburn: Thank you for your time. Everyone, check out Military Against Zombies or grab up Moms Against Zombies now. Also, check out the links below.

Morgan: Who are you talking to?

Wilburn: No one. Who are you talking to?!

*Alathia stared a moment longer and then returned her attention to lookout. Jay took and deep breath and started across the balance beam high above the city*
