Before Blaze #StephenKingRevisited

The plan is to reread all of Stephen King’s works in the order that they were published. Richard Chizmar of Cemetery Dance had the vision. I’m doing it because I am a writer and I want to improve my fiction. And I love Stephen King’s stories. I think there is something to be learned through this process.

You can also go back to the beginning and read Before Carrie or any of my other posts up through this one and beyond by checking out this link to the Master List of all my #StephenKingRevisited posts.

Yet again my deficiencies as a Stephen King fan are brought out by Blaze. This is another book I have failed to read. One that fell through the cracks for me.

This Bachman guy keeps showing up with new books. Not bad for a guy who is both dead and never existed. I think this one was written long ago in those Bachman years, but was only released well into the new century.

It’s crime fiction and a kidnapping story. I think King may have hinted at this plot in a few short stories and novel fragments in the past. I believe there might be a supernatural element hinted at in the death of one of the partners, but I don’t know enough about the book yet to know if that is true.

King does crime fiction stories fairly well, so I’m looking forward to reading this one.

My next post in this series will be After Blaze which will be linked on the Master List of all my Stephen King Revisited posts.
