The plan is to reread all of Stephen King’s works in the order that they were published. Richard Chizmar of Cemetery Dance had the vision. I’m doing it because I am a writer and I want to improve my fiction. And I love Stephen King’s stories. I think there is something to be learned through this process.
You can also go back to the beginning and read Before Carrie or any of my other posts up through this one and beyond by checking out this link to the Master List of all my #StephenKingRevisited posts.
I don’t know what to think about The Dark Man. I’m familiar with the poem. I’m familiar with the illustrations of Glenn Chadbourne. He did the cover art for an anthology I was in early on in my writing career. I got to meet him at the World Horror Convention in New Orleans in 2013.
I’m not sure what insights I’m going to get from this short read. Maybe if you reach a certain level, you can release anything that strikes your fancy and readers like me will buy it and even write blog posts about it.
My next post in this series will be After The Dark Man which will be linked on the Master List of all my Stephen King Revisited posts.
